Warman Fire Rescue Message in a Minute: #1 Compass Phone App
With Summer here many people are out and about and Farmers are in the Fields- can Responders find you in an Emergency? Yes we can in one word- Compass! Every smart phone these days has a compass app built in, just search "Compass" if you have never used it before (and most people haven't), it will show latitude and longitude of your current location. In an emergency, this is extremely handy to share to dispatchers when you call 911. In winter if you break down or find yourself stranded use this same app! With a growing Community, we don't always know where "The old Penner Barn" is for example. In an emergency, your phone could save your life and help us find you in minutes, not hours. Remember to keep your phone with you and charged. Safe Travels! Russ Austin Warman Fire Chief |
