The following is the local media release for the Warman Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for the week of June 24, 2019 to July 8, 2019.
Police received 363 calls for service from June 24, 2019 to July 8, 2019.
Traffic:
June 24, 2019 at 10:15 a.m. Police received a complaint of a semi driving erratically on Highway 14 near Asquith. The caller advised that the semi was swerving on the highway. Police contact the caller who advised that the semi had turned off the highway. There were no further calls received regarding the semi. June 25, 2019 at 8:30 p.m. Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver in Warman. The caller felt that the driver may be impaired due to the way their vehicle was parked at the location. Police attended the location and spoke to the 31 year old male driver, who was at the location to do maintenance and was not impaired. June 26, 2019 at 1:05 a.m. Police received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle on Highway 11 south of Warman. Police attended the location and found that the vehicle had previously been reported stolen from Saskatoon. The vehicle was towed back to Saskatoon police service for further investigation. June 26, 2019 at 12:45 p.m. Police received a complaint of a single vehicle rollover in the RM of Montrose. The caller reported that they came across the vehicle abandoned on it’s roof. Investigation into the cause of the roll over is ongoing. June 26, 2019 at 3:45 p.m. Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver in Martensville. Police located the vehicle and spoke with the 59 year old female driver from Martensville. She was taken back to the Detachment to provide a breath sample. She was released a short time later on documents for an upcoming court date on Impaired driving charges. There were no injuries. June 26, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. Police received a complaint of a single vehicle accident on Highway 12 near Martensville. Police attended the scene and found that a 66 year old male driver was injured in the accident. A 95 year old female passenger was transported to hospital for treatment of her injuries and succumbed to her injuries a short time later. Police believe that the driver suffered from a medical condition which contributed to the accident. There were no charges. June 28, 2019 at 11:40 a.m. Police received a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 16 near Saskatoon. The plate provided was incorrect. Police conducted patrols of the area, but did not locate the vehicle. June 28, 2019 at 3:50 p.m. Police received a complaint of an erratic driver on Industrial Road near Warman. The caller advised that a car passed them, narrowly missing them. Police located the suspect driver and issued them a warning regarding their driving habits. July 2, 2019 at 5:40 a.m. Police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Highway 14 near Asquith. The caller advised that the driver of the vehicle was slumped over the steering wheel. Police attended the scene and arrested a 50 year old male from the White Cap first nation. He was taken back to the Detachment to provide a breath sample. He was released a short time later on impaired driving charges. There were no injuries. July 5, 2019 at 9:20 p.m. Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 12 near Martensville. Police conducted patrols of the area, but did not locate any vehicles matching the description provided. July 7, 2019 at 7:10 p.m. Police received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Highway 11 north of Warman. Police conducted patrols and located the vehicle. The 58 year old male driver of the vehicle was spoken to & found to not be impaired. There were no charges.
Property:
June 24, 2019 at 5:55 p.m. Police received a complaint of a theft from a business in Martensville. The caller advised that they found some items missing from the business and have the suspects on surveillance. Investigation into this matter is ongoing. June 25, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. Police received a complaint of mischief to property in Delisle. The caller reported that damage had been done to the ball diamond concession booth. Investigation into this matter is ongoing. June 29, 2019 at 12:14 p.m. Police received a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the industrial area near Saskatoon. The caller stated that the vehicle was driving by slowly during the day. Police attended and spoke to the occupants of the vehicle. They were teaching a youth how to drive. There were no charges. June 29, 2019 at 10:50 p.m. Police received a complaint of possible shots being fired near Martensville. The caller thought that the sound was coming from somewhere near their property. Police patrolled the area, but unable to locate any suspicious people in the area. It is believed that it was possibly fireworks being set off for the long weekend. There were no further calls received. June 30, 2019 at 7:45 p.m. Police received a complaint of 2 males attempting to break into a house in Martensville. The caller advised that the males had been attempting to get into the house for approximately 20 minutes. Police attended the location and spoke with the owner of the home, who advised the males were friends of theirs that they did not want to speak to. There were no charges. July 2, 2019 at 3:10 p.m. Police received a complaint of shop lifting from a business in Martensville. Police arrested a 36 year old female and charged her with theft under five thousand dollars. She was released on documents for an upcoming court date and banned from the business. July 7, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. Police received a complaint of a theft from a business in Radisson. Police attended the location and arrested a 19 year old male from North Battleford. He was released on documents for an upcoming court date on theft related charges.

June 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Police received a complaint of a young child standing at the side of the road holding a sign that seemed suspicious. Police attended the location and spoke to the adults in the residence, who advised that it was just a misunderstanding. There were no further calls received. June 25, 2019 at 3:10 p.m. Police received a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Warman. Police attended the residence and arrested a 58 year old female in the residence. She was released a short time later on documents for an upcoming court date on assault charges. The 60 year old male in the residence was not injured. June 25, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. Police received a request for a well being check on an individual on a rural property near Langham. Police were able to make contact with the 52 year old male, who advised that they were safe and sound. June 26, 2019 at 11:30 p.m. Police received a complaint of a loud party at at residence in Martensville. Police attended the residence and spoke to the owner’s who agreed to turn the music down and take the party indoors. There were no further calls received. June 29, 2019 at 12:00 a.m. Police received a complaint of 3 males causing a disturbance in Osler. The caller advised that the males were shouting and being loud. Police attended the residence and spoke with the 30, 32 & 34 year old males who were intoxicated and fighting. They were advised to go inside and go to sleep, which they complied. There were no further calls received. July 1, 2019 at 7:45 p.m. Police received a complaint of an intoxicated male refusing to leave a business in Warman. Police attended the business and arrested the 64 year old male from Duck Lake and lodged him in police cells until he was sober. He was issued a ticket for being intoxicated in public. July 2, 2019 at 10:30 p.m. Police received a complaint of a hitch hiker on Highway 12 near Martensville. The caller advised that the male was stepping into traffic as cars went by. Police conducted patrols of the area, but did not locate any hitch hikers. There were no further calls received. July 3, 2019 at 6:15 p.m. Police received a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Langham. Police attended the residence and arrested a 30 year old male in the residence. He was released a short time later on charges of uttering threats. There were no injuries. July 4, 2019 at 6:50 a.m. Police received a complaint of a male sleeping on the side of Highway 11 near Rheinland. Police attended the location and found a 36 year old male from Hatchett Lake first nation who was attempting to walk to Prince Albert. He was fine and continued on his way. There were no charges. July 4, 2019 at 11:10 p.m. Police received a complaint of a loud party at a residence in Martensville. Police attended the residence and spoke with the owner of the property, who agreed to take the party indoors. There were no further calls received. There were no charges. July 6, 2019 at 12:05 a.m. Police received a complaint of a loud party at a residence in Martensville. Police attended the residence and spoke with the residents, who agreed to turn the music down and take the party indoors, there were no further calls received. July 6, 2019 at 7:15 p.m. Police received a complaint of an assault at a location near Saskatoon. Police attended the scene and arrested and charged a 35 year old female from Saskatoon and a 34 year old male, also from Saskatoon. They were released on conditions for an upcoming court date on assault related charges. There were no injuries. July 7, 2019 at 8:20 p.m. Police received a request for a well being check on a person in Radisson. The caller reported that they were unable to contact the person & were concerned. Police attended the 71 year old female’s residence who advised she was fine. July 8, 2019 at 12:15 a.m. Police received a complaint of a suspicious male walking on Highway 11 near Warman. Police attended the location and spoke with the 24 year old male from Southend, who advised he was walking to Prince Albert after having an argument with a family member. While members were on scene, the male’s ride arrived from Prince Albert. There were no charges.
