The following is the local media release for the Warman Detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for the week of August 12, 2019 to August 19, 2019.
Police received 147 calls for service from August 12, 2019 to August 19, 2019.
Traffic:
August 13, 2019 at 3:43 p.m. Police received a report of a possibly impaired driver on highway 14. Vehicle was reported to be swerving and speeding. Members were unable to intercept vehicle. August 16, 2019 at 5:01 p.m. Police received a report that an ongoing issue of the same grey truck is speeding and doing stunts around the corner. Members were able to locate the driver of the truck, who was given a warning for this driving behavior. The male apologized for his actions. August 17, 2019 at 10:40 p.m. Police were dispatched to a vehicle collision on Highway 7, car vs Moose. The driver was not injured and vehicle was towed from scene. August 19, 2019 at 01:26 a.m. Police received a report of a Black car with BC license plate driving erratically eastbound on Highway 7 approaching Vanscoy. Police were not able to intercept the vehicle.
Property:
August 13, 2019 at 2:33 p.m. Police received a report of vandalism (spray painting) to the community living drop off bin in Delisle. Matter is still under investigation. August 16, 2019 at 12:20 p.m. Police received several reports of vehicles that were entered and items taken within in the town of Langham. August 16, 2019 at 9:39 p.m. Police received a report of compound that was broken into in Warman. Approximately $5000 worth of tools was taken from a shed on the property. The matter is still under investigation. August 17, 2019 at 09:56 a.m. Police received a report of a theft from a business in the RM of Saskatoon. Video surveillance shows suspects and suspect vehicle used to steal 12 batteries from the yard site. The matter is still under investigation.
People:
August 14, 2019 at 3:36 p.m. Police received a call on highway 11 of 2 unknown males flagging vehicles down and then trying to sell things to the occupants of the vehicle. Patrols were made but officers were unable to locate the 2 unknown males. August 14, 2019 at 5:23 p.m. Police were called to an unwanted male in a Warman residence. Members attended and arrested a 39-year-old male for break and enter and being intoxicated in public place. August 16, 2019 at 11:02 a.m. Police received a report of a suspicious female looking in vehicles and talking to herself. Members located female on highway 16 and with the assistance of EMS the female was transported to the hospital for medical attention. August 16, 2019 at 10:56 p.m. Police received a report on Highway 384 that an unknown male was jumping in front of vehicles. Police attended to a find a 21 year old male that was trying to flag down help. Warman RCMP is advising residents of Radisson and surrounding areas that Radisson RCMP office will be open starting August 7th, 2019. The hours that the office will be open are: Mondays 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Wednesdays 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Fridays 8:30 a.am.-11:45 a.m. Warman RCMP that the SASKATCHEWAN CRIME WATCH ADVISORY NETWORK is operating.
